Be my pen pal?

Me: Trying to kick my phone addiction, connect with strangers, and be more awake to my life. You: Wishing you got more interesting mail with no pressure to reply.

What's this all about?

The algorithms are overriding my ability to discover, be open to serendipity, and connect with friends and strangers alike. This club is my attempt to reach out through the ether to strangers who want to be a little more whimsical and/or weird in this life. Let's be in awe of our strange little worlds together.

This is how it goes:

1. I search for inspiration-from my job at a botanic garden, from my neighborhood, from science & art & wherever ideas come from

2. I make something in response: art, a personal letter, a playlist, and a sticker. No ai in this house

3. I take that art and make it into a print, which doubles as a postcard

4. I send all this to you every month for some money (I tried to keep it low) so I can break even on materials + postage

5. I sit at home hoping you like it. I will write you back if you respond, though there's no pressure to do that
